Objectives:
- Describe BW architecture and how it relates to your security policies.
- Explain the differences and similarities between R/3 security requirements
and BW security requirements.
- Demonstrate how to secure reporting users, including the authorization
objects and authorization values required.
- List the types of tasks administration users must do and how to
secure those tasks.
- Describe the roles and templates provided by SAP to assist you in
building security for your BW system.
- Explain the security required for systems providing data to BW.
Content:
- This course covers all aspects of defining and implementing security
in a BW Environment.
- For reporting users, this includes authorization for retrieving,
executing and saving reports and the use of hierarchies and workbooks.
- For administrative users, securing the tasks of maintaining new
warehouse objects and extracting data from source systems are covered.
- In addition, the concept of securing the different types of communication
between BW systems and source systems is discussed.
